AUSANGATE TREK S.A.C. recognizes that the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (CSEC) is a serious violation of human rights and a crime punishable under Peruvian law. The company voluntarily adopts the Code of Conduct against CSEC, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), aimed at preventing, confronting and eradicating sexual exploitation of minors within the tourism and travel sector.
This document represents the company’s formal commitment to uphold actions and standards to prevent CSEC throughout our operations and value chain.

2. Our Commitment
AUSANGATE TREK S.A.C. pledges to promote and implement strategies and preventive actions to combat CSEC in the provision of tourism services, involving our entire organization and all associated partners.
This Code applies to:
- Office and administrative staff
- Field and logistics staff (guides, drivers, porters, cooks, muleteers, coordinators)
- Suppliers, tourism partners, hotels, restaurants, and transport companies
- Any representative affiliated with AUSANGATE TREK S.A.C.
3. Purpose of the Code
This Code aims to establish behavioral norms, responsibilities and preventive measures to protect children and adolescents from any form of sexual exploitation linked to travel and tourism activities, in accordance with:
- The Peruvian Tourism Law
- The Peruvian Criminal Code
- The National Policy against CSEC
- The Code of Conduct promoted by MINCETUR
4. Principles of Action
AUSANGATE TREK S.A.C. adopts the following guiding principles:
- Zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation of minors
- Respect for human dignity and the rights of children and adolescents
- Compliance with national legislation and ethical tourism practices
- Shared responsibility among staff and partners
- Immediate reporting of suspected violations
5. Preventive Actions and Commitments
5.1 Training and Awareness
The company ensures continued staff training in:
- Prevention of CSEC
- Identification of risk situations
- Proper response and reporting procedures
5.2 Prohibitions
AUSANGATE TREK S.A.C. strictly prohibits:
- Promoting or encouraging sexual tourism
- Sharing or offering information related to child sexual exploitation
- Accepting requests of such nature from customers or suppliers
- Ignoring or tolerating suspicious behavior
5.3 Communication with Travelers
Travelers are informed that:
- Child sexual exploitation is a criminal offense in Peru
- The company will not tolerate nor participate in such activities
5.4 Responsible Value Chain
Our suppliers and partners are expected to comply with the same standards of conduct.
5.5 Reporting
Staff is required to report any suspected case or attempt of exploitation to authorities, including:
- Peruvian National Police
- Public Prosecutor
- MINCETUR – CSEC Program
- Emergency hotlines and local authorities
